Mission/Benefactor

Through the generous support of Art & Pam Burdick, the RMYA “Arthur and Barbara Burdick Community Center” is named for the parents of long-time supporters Art & Jeff Burdick and the entire Burdick Family. Art Burdick (Burdick Custom Homes), has over thirty-five years of experience in home building and is known throughout South Texas as the leader in custom homebuilding. This quality construction is evident in the beautiful RMYA Burdick Community Center. The Center is owned and operated by Roy Maas Youth Alternatives at the Meadowland Long-term Residential Campus in Boerne, Texas. Our nonprofit agency serves children in the Texas foster care system that have survived severe abuse, and trauma through no fault of their own.

The RMYA Burdick Community Center opened October 3, 2012, for use by the children of Meadowland; the Meadowland Charter School; and on occasion, individuals, businesses and agencies within the Boerne community and surrounding area. In addition to daily and special events for the children, the Burdick Center is a favorite venue for evening and weekend rentals. All proceeds from Burdick Community Center rentals benefit the children we proudly serve.

The Burdick Community Center is available for rentals seven days a week. Because the children in our care use the facility for meals and special events, reservations must be made no less than 36 hours before your event. Please contact Gail Ribalta at (210) 340-8077 at extension 1102 or email at gribalta@rmya.org to schedule a tour, check availability or get more information.
