RMYA values strongly the role our volunteers play in our organization and reaches out extensively to the community to recruit a wide range of volunteers. Our volunteers come from various places, including interns and practicum students from local universities and colleges; church groups, civic clubs, business organizations and other groups, and individuals.
Volunteering at RMYA is an opportunity for you to change the day in the life of a child and give them something to look forward to. Our youth need to engage in positive activities and have new experiences to help promote future success. They can do that through the rapport you build with them while volunteering. We also have group or individual projects to help us maintain our facilities, grounds, and administrative duties which are also critically important to the health of our agency. We need creative, active, and optimistic volunteers who can share their enthusiasm for life with our children. You may do this as an individual or get your group involved. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal history check, and pass a drug screening.
Please contact our RMYA Volunteer & Events Manager, Katherine Stroup at kstroup@rmya.org or 830-816-2425, ext. 2604 for more info on volunteering.
