Psychiatric Clinic
The RMYA Community Psychiatric Clinic provides short-term psychiatric services in conjunction with individual child and family counseling, for community children waiting to be seen by a private psychiatrist. RMYA's clinicians partner with psychiatric residents from the University of Texas Health San Antonio Psychiatry Department, to provide evaluations and follow-up assessments for children coping with mental health issues that could lead to abuse, hospitalization, or the breakdown of the family unit. RMYA also provides referrals for long-term psychiatric care when necessary.
Parenting Classes
RMYA offers the Becoming a Love and Logic Parent training course. The seven-week parenting program was developed by Jim Fay, Charles Fay, PhD., and Foster W. Cline, M.D., of the Love and Logic Institute, Inc., in Golden, Colorado. It is $7 for each class or $35 when pre-registering for the whole course.
