SAVE THE DATE! Our 3rd Annual Fiesta at Meadowland will take place April 5, 2018

On April 5, 2018, a group of Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA) volunteers will present our third annual Fiesta at Meadowland, supporting the children who make their home at Meadowland. At this volunteer led event, former residents will share inspirational stories from their time at Meadowland, which was essential to healing their childhood trauma. Fiesta at Meadowland will raise money and awareness of the needs of the foster children who live there. These children deserve every opportunity to become happy, healthy and productive adults.

We hope you will commit to hosting a table for Fiesta at Meadowland. There is no cost to host a table, you will simply invite seven of your friends, family or business associates to join you and learn more about Meadowland. Your guests can tour the campus and enjoy a delicious catered dinner from The Hungry Horse Restaurant, a powerful story by our guest speaker, and a talent presentation from some of our children. We hope the people you invite will want to support the children of Meadowland on April 5 and for many years to come.

RSVP at rmya@rmya.org or download the sponsorship form to underwrite the event and keep it cost-free for attendees! Questions? Contact Renee Garvens, Senior Director of Community and Donor Relations, at rgarvens@rmya.org.

We are so excited to announce our second Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA) It’s a New Day 5k, benefitting the Meadowland campus. Meadowland was established in 1986, when RMYA moved all of the long-term residential programs for children removed from abusive homes, to 42 beautiful acres on Old San Antonio Road. For 32 years, over five thousand abused and neglected Texas children have found healing, love, support and hope at Meadowland.

This chip-timed run is the culmination of the running club that began to promote exercise, increased healthy lifestyle, and promote a way to cope with stress for our children. The 14-week training program affords those who have no athletic background to ease into running, at a pace that is challenging, yet comfortable enough to offer success. We would love your support by sponsorship, participation in the race, volunteering, or just cheering on the participants!
